They invite you to celebrate the spirit of the season with laughs, fun and games as they invite new friends and old to the stage to ring in the holiday season in style with special guests Bellydance sensation Oracle as Showgirl Savannah Rouge, The Master of Puppets Tim Monteith, The Sultry Song Bird La La Lucious and burlesque performances by The Double Ds of Dixie D’lilah Dlite, Ruby Redmayne, Lola le Soliel, Southern Exposure’s King of Boylesque Fonda Lingue with Drag King Devin Liquor, The Syren of the South Katherine Lashe and more! With a grand finale of sending off their fabulous marine with the toy donations at the end of the night! There will also be a raffle with fabulous prizes to benefit the first annual Southern Fried Burlesque Fest in Atlanta March 10-13, 2011! Admission to the Winter Wonderland Show is $15 in advance, $20 at the door or $10 with a new unwrapped toy worth at least $5 for the toy drive. You can purchase tickets at www.syrensofthesouth.com! Burlesque is the art of the striptease, with a focus on the tease. The performers occasionally strip to pasties, but there is no nudity in any of our productions. This show is a revival of an American art form that has become an international movement. ![]() Wanna come out and strut your stuff? Are you a sultry song bird that wants to share your voice with the world? Do you like to juggle and ride a unicycle? If you said yes to any of these or perhaps have another skill you would like to share with us please set up an appointment to come audition for one of Atlanta's premiere burlesque companies, Syrens of the South for our 2011 season! We're looking for: Burlesque Magicians Puppets Clowns Acrobats Aerialists Stilt walkers Hula hoopers Jugglers Musical Acts MCs Pick-up Artists/Panty Wranglers We are looking for independent performers as we are not a troupe so you can perform when it's best for you and your schedule. There's no obligation and we do not limit your involvement in other productions as we are non-exclusive. All auditions will be set up in 15 minute intervals beginning at 2pm. If your act requires recorded music you must bring it on CD. If you would like to set up an audition time please email syrensofthesouth@gmail.com before 5pm on Dec 17, 2010 to set up your time. All audition times are first come first serve and once we are full we're full. Please do not set up an appointment if you do not intend on coming. Okay, so we have this beautiful calendar that just keeps getting added to all the time, never a bad problem to have! The Rockabilly Lounge on the 26th went over so well that they've already scheduled the next one for Oct 10th and we'll be performing at midnight again. We;'re just going to do one set, the band will be on at 11pm and 1am. Sounds like a sexy burlesque sandwich to me! This Saturday is our Spooktacular Halloween Special, tickets are still for sale until 5pm Friday so we know we have an acurate list. After that you'll have to squeeze in at the door, but that's why we have two shows! So we hope to see you all this Saturday and at as many of these other dates as you can manage! DragonCon was this over labor day weekend and it was amazing! Friday night Katherine Lashe spoke at the Looks That Kill: Fashion Panel and then modeled for House of Le Roux in fashion show at the Time Traveller's Ball. Talloolah Love and Renea'le Roux did amazing performances that opened up the Time Traveller's Ball that showed off the amazing costumes Renea'le Roux has created for the House of Le Roux clothing line. Saturday night was The DragonCon Cabaret put on by Starphoenix Productions and Ursula Undress brought down the house and we were very proud to have her as part of such an amazing show. This Sunday the new series of the ABCs & 123s of Burlesque Class Series begins with "You've got it now flaunt it" with Rosie Palms. The second weekend had Vagina Jenkins, Chad Sanborn, Renea'le Roux and Katherine Lashe all heading on down to the New Orleans Burlesque Festival. They did an amazing job and Atlanta was well represented!
